Boshun Valley in Badakhshan
Join us on a journey back in time to Boshun, a secluded Afghan valley whose settlers build their lives on the banks of a lively stream flowing from a glacier-fed lake.
Spend your first night in a local guesthouse, where you can join in a village life experience. Fall asleep with the help of nature’s white noise-the nearby rushing stream.
After fueling with a local breakfast of salty milk tea, set out for a challenging but rewarding hike up to our campsite, accompanied by donkey train.
Wind through farmland, groves of cedar and cherry trees, and the occasional herds of cows or sheep-
On arrival at our campsite, enjoy a few unplugged days and nights unwinding on green patches of grass surrounded by a cathedral of rising rocky cliffs.

Zebok Valley in Badakhshan
Come with us to Zebok Valley, whose very name means “Beauty!”
You will need no convincing that the name fits when you join us on a beautiful drive through red sandstone cliff formations by a flowing river.
Stop first in Isketool, a farming village where you will witness a stunning waterfall cascading down multiple rock faces, fed by a glacier far above. Spend the night in this quiet village beneath the Milky Way, then spend a day hiking to the waterfall and its surrounding canyons. Learn how Afghans live as they invite you into their homes (or fields) to join in daily life!
Travel further up the valley to Sanglich, the last village of the valley that ends with multiple alpine lakes offering magnificent views and spotted trout.
Spend nights in Sanglich camping by the river under a canopy of trees, or sleep in a traditional Ismaeli wooden one-room home.
Spend days hiking in a valley or along the river near Sanglich village, visiting local homes.
